Traveling to Koh Tao (2025-2026 Update): There are currently several routes to Koh Tao. You can fly or travel by private car to the pier and then take a ferry to Koh Tao. The easiest and most convenient way to travel to Koh Tao is by boat from Chumphon Pier to Koh Tao.

1. Traveling by bus from Bangkok to Koh Tao:
Air-conditioned bus service includes a ferry ticket from Bangkok to Koh Tao. The journey takes approximately 6:30 hours by car and another 2 hours by boat to Koh Tao.

2. Traveling by private car
Traveling by private car to Chumphon Province and then take a ferry from Chumphon Province to Koh Tao. The ferry ride takes approximately 2 hours.

3. Traveling by plane
Fly to Chumphon Airport and use the Chumphon airport transfer service, which includes a ferry ticket to Koh Tao.

4. Traveling by train to Chumphon Railway Station
Traveling by train to Chumphon Railway Station is another popular mode of transportation. You can arrive in Chumphon in the morning and book a train ticket and ferry ticket to Koh Tao.
